Madhya Pradesh's recent Tech Growth Conclave 3.0 has emerged as a significant milestone, securing nearly ₹40,000 crore in investments aimed at transforming the state into a technology powerhouse. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav highlighted the conclave as a platform that not only attracted investments but also showcased the state's commitment to fostering industries in AI, data centers, and semiconductors. This marks a departure from the state's traditional reliance on agriculture and minerals, signaling a strategic pivot towards high-tech sectors.
Among the notable investments is Spain's Submer Group, which plans to establish a USD 2 billion AI-ready data center in Bhopal, expected to generate around 5,000 direct jobs. This project exemplifies the growing confidence of global investors in Madhya Pradesh's industrial ecosystem. The conclave also saw the announcement of a Semiconductor Centre of Excellence, aimed at enhancing skill development and research in semiconductor technology, which is crucial for India's ambitions in the global tech landscape.
The state has already grounded investments exceeding ₹12,000 crore in technology sectors since the Global Investors Summit-2025, further solidifying its position as a key player in India's digital transformation. With 20 new industrial units inaugurated during the conclave, the focus on IT and electronics manufacturing is clear. The state's strategic location, skilled workforce, and investor-friendly policies are attracting diverse global players, setting the stage for sustained growth in the tech sector.
